hahaha, I know what you mean. When I first started autocross, I had an instructor in my passenger seat. I wouldn't mind it but let's just say he's of the festively plump variety. My car is an old 80's tech pushrod 4 banger that's very sensitive to how much weight it has to pull. Boy, I was glad to finally fly solo...my time also instantly improved by a second. It could be because I got better or my car got lighter, I will never know but I'm almost convinced it was the latter.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust on the M3 or is it stock? I know the E36s sound good but that is amazing.

i used a remote mic setup with my Go Pro.... positioned on the rear bumper to catch exhaust noise and not much more (no wind rush)

I should clarify that my instructor was great,... I'm already at a high level though so he didn't have anything much to teach me... just helped me polish some lines through Thunder Valley and China Beach
